Local conditions, safety and rules

Wind and water conditions

Mogán beach is sheltered from swell by its breakwater, but any trip beyond the protected area becomes a sea outing. Check wind, swell, harbour traffic and navigation limits. Recreational navigation is prohibited in buoyed bathing areas; use marked channels for launching and returning. Article 73 of Spain’s coastal regulations does not approve your chosen beach launch: port, municipal and protected-area rules still need checking.

Markers and other users

Respect channels, swimming areas, harbours, other craft and local restrictions.

Protected areas

Do not land in prohibited or fragile areas; reserves may require permission.

Equipment
