Wind and water conditions

Check the weather, water level and temperature, and local restrictions on the day. A visitor guide does not establish public launch access or an authorised route; check the signs and the site manager’s instructions before setting out. The 2026 navigation plan allows non-motorised board and paddle activities year-round in zones A1, A2 and C. Keep within their boundaries: navigation is prohibited in the Santrop inlet and upstream of the dam. From the second Saturday in April to the second Sunday in November, zone B is reserved for motorised watersports unless specifically authorised; it is not an unrestricted touring area. A life jacket is compulsory on board. Navigate only from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. Check the markers and the authorised launch point before setting off.
