RESPONSIBLE BOATING

Local conditions, safety and rules

Wind and water conditions

Check the weather, water level and temperature, and local restrictions on the day. A visitor guide does not establish public launch access or an authorised route; check the signs and the site manager’s instructions before setting out. Lifejackets are compulsory for SUP, canoeing and kayaking. Stay at least 50 m from reedbeds and outside the protected Bout du Lac area; at Sevrier, respect the aquatic-plant buoyed zone from 15 June to 30 September.

Markers and other users

Respect channels, swimming areas, harbours, other craft and local restrictions.

Protected areas

Do not land in prohibited or fragile areas; reserves may require permission.

Equipment

Use the required buoyancy equipment and follow the operator’s navigation limits.
