Wind and water conditions

Check the weather, water level and temperature, and local restrictions on the day. A visitor guide does not establish public launch access or an authorised route; check the signs and the site manager’s instructions before setting out. Check EPIDOR notices before each descent: fallen trees and obstructions were reported in 2026 around Cénac–La Roque-Gageac and Vitrac–Domme. Between Fayrac and Pech, consult current navigation notices; old works notices do not establish a current restriction. Between the Lot boundary and the La Yerle railway bridge at Alles-sur-Dordogne, independent SUP is covered by a three-year trial announced in 2026. The stated season runs only from 1 June to 30 September; it does not authorise outings outside that period. Check all conditions of order DDT/SEER/GMA/2026-021 and navigation notices before setting out. EPIDOR notice 2026-523 of 13 July 2026 reports a fallen tree on the right bank upstream of Port d’Envaux. It remains listed without an end date on 8 October 2026: check the notice before departure and keep clear of the obstacle.
