PLAN YOUR OUTING

Access, weather and safety.

01

Choose the right starting point

For Bay la Leysse, check signs and municipal information about public paths, parking and water access. A bathing beach or harbour does not automatically grant permission to launch a craft.

02

Check the conditions

Check the weather, water level and temperature, and local restrictions on the day. A visitor guide does not establish public launch access or an authorised route; check the signs and the site manager’s instructions before setting out. The regulation of 22 May 2026 protects reedbeds. For SUP, favour the 200 m shore band; beyond it lifejackets are compulsory for everyone, and within it they are compulsory for children under 12. Temporary notice 39/2026: non-participating craft must not cross the race areas shown in the annexes during racing: annex 1, 9 October 2026 from 13:30 to 18:00, 10 October from 10:00 to 18:00 and 11 October from 10:00 to 16:00; annex 2, 11 October from 10:00 to 17:00. These periods end on 11 October 2026; check subsequent notices and do not interpret this as a lake-wide restriction. Check thermal winds, thunderstorms, water temperature and boat traffic; allow a safe margin for the return and use suitable buoyancy equipment.
